Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study Complete
The Florida Department of Transportation concluded its Project Development and Environment Study for the Replacement of the I-10 Bridges over Escambia Bay
On February 11, 2005, the Federal Highway Administration granted Location and Design Concept Acceptance for the project.

Maintain Existing Traffic Conditions
- 1 Eastbound Lane on Bridge
- 2 Westbound Lanes on Bridge
- Eastbound Scenic Highway Ramp Closed
- Westbound Scenic Highway Ramp Open |

PHASE II
Pre-Hurricane I-10 Capacity Restored
- 2 Eastbound Lanes on New Eastbound Bridge
- 2 Westbound Lanes on New Eastbound Bridge
- No traffic on existing bridges
- Scenic Highway Ramps OPEN to all vehicles (including permit and oversized loads) |

Construction of Additional Travel Lanes
- New Eastbound Bridge FULLY OPERATIONAL
