DETOURS

Short-term Eastbound Bridge Closure (Detour 1)
This detour involves short-term closures of the eastbound I-10 Escambia Bay Bridge due to structure inspection and maintenance or traffic accidents. Eastbound I-10 traffic will be detoured to Scenic Highway (Exit 17) to US 90 and on to Avalon Boulevard/SR 281(Exit 22) where it rejoins I-10.

Extended Closure of Eastbound Bridge (Detour 2)
One lane of traffic in each direction will be placed on the existing westbound bridge, similar to the traffic situation before the temporary eastbound bridge was first reopened.

Two Lanes Eastbound/One Lane Westbound (Detour 2a)
The right (outside) eastbound lane will use the eastbound bridge. The left (inside) eastbound lane will use the westbound bridge. The westbound traffic will merge to one lane on the east side of the bridge. Westbound traffic will use the right (outside) lane.

Eastbound and Westbound Bridge Closure (Detour 4)
I-10 will be closed between Davis Highway/SR 291 (Exit 13) and Avalon Boulevard/SR 281(Exit 22) once wind speeds are sustained at 45 mph. Motorists should travel north on Davis Highway or Avalon Boulevard to US 90.
